For every letter of the alphabet, Ron Roy has written one book and thus there are twenty six books in total. The main characters of all these books are three young children named Donald David "Dink", Duncan Josh Pinto, and Ruth Rose Hathaway. All of them are junior detectives and the stories revolve around their adventures. Though there are other characters in the story, the main focus is on these three pals. A to Z Mysteries Super Edition #5: The New Year Dragon Dilemma unfolds the story when all these three friends are in San Francisco – a place that happens to be a big Chinatown. They are supposed to attend the popular Chinese New Year parade and their tour guide Holden is about to take them there. The adventure begins as the Miss Chinatown goes missing along with her crown. Miss Chinatown happens to be Holden’s girlfriend and the police suspects Holden. Who is the culprit? And will these junior detectives be able to rescue their tour guide and find the real criminal? The adventure is all about it! The illustrations provided in the book have been used intentionally to pass a secret hidden message to the young minds. Ron Roy is famously known for his A to Z Mysteries series. Born on 29th April 1940, he is a juvenile author who has an expertise in children’s fiction and mystery novels. He currently resides in Connecticut. He has written another famous children’s fiction series called Capital Mysteries. Another popular work authored by him is the A to Z Mysteries Super Edition that happens to be the follow up of the original series. John Steven Gurney is the illustrator of this book. Some other books that he has illustrated are A To Z Mysteries: Sleepy Hollow Sleepover, A To Z Mysteries: White House White-Out, and A to Z Mysteries: The Invisible Island.
